    Hello all,
The Company I work for has a website. I felt it would be a special touch for our customers to learn extra info about my experience in the cigar industry and product knowledge so I decided it would be best to have a website of my own with my hours I work and info about myself. What kind of improvements can I make to my personal/work related website for better SEO for local customers and those visiting ? My website is provided in my info .

    Thanks in advance,
    Joel

    Joel,

The Google+ page will help (along with other social profiles) but is not the same as a places page. Place pages are generally for local businesses so you may not want to compete with your work and also if you don't have a business and are just promoting a personal brand, I would skip it.

I would suggest starting a blog if you haven't already. Cigars seem like a great thing to blog about and I'm guessing you could build a good following. Remember to keep posting on your social networks. Share content that people will engage with and also that they will re-share. These interactions are what is good for SEO from a social standpoint.

Have you targeted any keywords for your website? Keep in mind that Google does not pay attention to keywords in the keyword meta tag. Put them in your blog posts, title tags and anchor text. Try and post to your blog at least once a week.
