I want to do a simple script, simply click 6 buttons then click NEXT.

when you click next the page after is a duplicate, 6 buttons again then click NEXT.

Want this playing in a loop.

I thought it was easy but with iMacros when I click its not only picking up the location but the name of where its being told to click,
and also the url - I want it to ignore the name and simply just click 6 times and then click next continuously?

Tell me if I'm a noob because I most likely am, help me out if you can =)

This is why I love this forum, nothing but helpful people - not licking up LOL
PM is sent! but I'm wondering wouldn't it be different due to the screen resolution,
the macros if it was created by yourself and sent (yes I'm not that good at this, just a question) cheers!

You would run into problems with another screen size me thinks. But, fortunately there is a manual. :D
    http://wiki.imacros.net/FAQ#Q:_Is_i...lly_so_one_macro_should_work_on_all_the_pages.

In there I recently read this:

Q: Is it possible to create macros that will run on the page displayed in the web browser, rather than using the URL GOTO command to direct it to a web page at the beginning of a macro. The pages I want to run macros on are all set out identically so one macro should work on all the pages.

The URL command is inserted by default every time you start recording a macro. After recording a macro, edit the macro source and manually remove the URL GOTO command. If you want to run the same macro on different pages, yet not all pages are exactly the same, use SET !ERRORIGNORE YES to simply skip TAG commands that cannot be executed.

Happy new year! (no hugs, soz.)

That's ze first thing I did the thing was taking me to that same URL, so I took out the "GO TO" command line out but
after taking that out - the imacros freaks out with a lovely error when you look at it from the edit view all I see is the different names that it has picked up when clicked, that is why I thought maybe it was that? or maybe I'm just a noob.

(Happy new year matey, no hugs? *puppy eyes*)

    edit*

I was just wondering is there any similar tools that simply records where you are clicking on the screen? a simple one. cheers!

The manual doesn't mention anything about an error. *shocked* Are you sure?
    What kind of error?

But, the manual does mention a "Direct Screen Capture. :D

You will probably think I is mad but there is no "direct screen capture" button when i go into the options as instructed by the guide heh looks like making macros was not in my destiny -_- complete noob for sure.

So there is no alternative that does the job smoothly - google shows too many I wanted one that would be recommended by the experts on here =) btw Aaric (first replier) is hooking me up with the macros - so cheers for that can get through this, this time but wanted to learn for the next ^_^

There is a reason you are a nooby and not a loser. A nooby is just new at things, he is allowed to fail. The master gets to fail too but has to accept to get laughed at when he does. A losers best perspective is to fail and by that achieve a win.

Everybody talks about failure on their path to destined fortunes as time has shown. Can you see the future?
As long as there are still success stories of Nigerian scams all hope shouldn't be lost. And those stories exist!

I can understand you didn't find the button, for your convenience the option only becomes available after you start recording :)
    http://wiki.imacros.net/DirectScreen_Technology
"It is activated during recording by clicking on the "Click Mode" button and selecting "Use DirectScreen Commands" from the dialog."

"Typically DirectScreen Technology is used to automate web pages that contain non-HTML elements such as Java applets, Adobe Flash, Adobe Flex, Microsoft Silverlight or ActiveX controls. It also automates even the most complicated AJAX based website."

Or, try to lean from the code Aaric provided, perhaps ask him how he did it. Doesn't solve it publicly but it does turn you from fish eater to fisherman. :p
There is no question he is quite willing to help. :)
The script provided works for you?
    Gotta love this forum!

(no hugs soz, got a cold, nothing personal. Happens to me a lot during festive moments.)
