So I recently discovered IFTTT and I absolutely love it, it has helped me make managing my Tumblr blog %100 easier and get it done in half the time. However, I am having trouble trying to automate something else I would like to do.

I see that they have an "IF" for Tumblr to be activated when you have "N" (number) of posts. Basically I want to post a link post after every 4 photo posts, my problem is, I need the link to be grabbed from a large list of URLS and to pick one at random and post it to my Tumblr. I can post a link now with 4 posts, but the options are limited, I can specify one single URL or set it to a "blogurl" variable. I was wondering if anyone had any ideas of how to work around this, even if I have to go through some loops to do it... meaning even if I had to do a if tumblr then X, then have if X do X2, then have X2 post to tumblr etc... I hope I am making sense here.

    Thanks for any suggestions.

Make 4 separate IFTTT modules and go from there.

You can't add more than 1 URL yet, i'm unsure if they will ever add that functionality to allow all in 1.

Just be sure to have them operate sequentially at 8 increments, one at or any random number.

You can probably do it with 4 separate sources to avoid duplicate postings.
