    Hi,

When I view source code for site with malware before <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" is a load of code/numbers that have been added by a hacker who has infected a number of my website.

Can somebody please tell me where/how can I remove all this code and then change password. I can see the code but can't figure out where it is inside wordpress. I have looked inside header.php which has the above W3 code but it does not have any code before it?

    Many thanks for any help.

    J

WP-Antivirus is a plugin to try but if you are not very familiar with PHP I would recommend that you find someone who is and have them take a look at it. If you would like me to look at a couple of your php files, shoot me a PM and I would be happy to, I have had to deal with it before and have quite a bit of experience with PHP.

    Home Page:
Try forcing wp reinstall from the updates page of the admin panel and see if that does the job. Then change both WP and cpanel passwords to very strong passwords generated from cpanel.
