Is anyone currently using the new online yellow pages advertising? I am concerned about the possible impact of their new advertising - they say they have done a deal with Google. For as little as $24 a month you can obtain a first page google lising for your suburb within your category - your actual business name appears alongside yellow pages and you click only into information for that particular business. This doesn't worry me, what does worry me is the possibility of loosing my high ranking on first page of google results for my category for the Brisbane search. Our business obtains the most of our leads from computer repairs brisbane search - we are located in Coorparoo and have about 6 first page listings for computer repairs coorparoo - but it is the brisbane computer repairs search that brings in the business. After having spent a lot of time and money on getting this ranking I am afraid that the new Yellow Pages on-line advertising may wipe it out. If say 8 computer repair businesses located in Brisbane CBD each purchase a yellow pages/business link they could then take the first 8 listings in google for 'computer repairs brisbane' and we would drop off the page. I expect the same would be for other business who service the Brisbane area such as electricians etc. They are also offering more expensive packages with a mini-webpage for individual business. So has all my white hat seo been for nothing? We rely heavily on google results for our business.

Not worth it. Tried it. Google plus local is the first thing you should sign up for. Ensure your company name and Address are on the footer or contact page of your site and match the address in your google local plus.
