Ok. I have a client who has about 6 one-page static websites about their business. The pages have a 600+ word article on it, advertising their business. They have EMDs. Within a month, one was ranking #4, #10 and four were ranking #21. Overnight they have completely dropped off. I found one on page 18, the others I can't find.

What do you think happened? The websites pass copyscape. I am thinking it is probably due to a lack of content. They all got slapped at the same time, so Google must have tracked the IP. My current plan is to add a blog and put 3+ posts on each, then try backlinking again. What do you guys think about this?

    Google dance....

It's still very new of a website, especially if its only a few months old.

You need more supporting links, and content, especially with the recent
algorithm updates. The reason the site was ranking so well out of the
gate was likely Google "testing" your site in the SERPs.

I see this all the time with website I track, they'll jump up to the top spots
for a week or two, and then bounce back to where they started originally.

Good thing is that you've had the site rank, but now you need to keep building
up your "SEO equity" to get those rankings back and then keep them.

Did you make some blast? if yes then it may be because of that..
The second reason may be due to some minor panda update you lost ranking.

Id probably go with the lack of content and google playing catch up or has a competitor been evill seen that before as well
