I can access it through a proxy.
Checked my host files, its not there.
Reset my DNS, reset DHCP settings.
I am running Debian Linux, so I do not suspect a malware.
I wanted to share some software in the downloads section but due to the reason I cannot scan, I cannot post.... :(
    Any help?

"Down" as in server not found or down as in connection timed out?
    Can you ping virustotal.com?
Can you ping its ip address 74.53.201.162?

    • Thanks Thanks x 1

hmmm...it's a really weird issue you have (especially if you can access everything but VT)

you should contact and ask them if your IP/IP range is blacklisted for some reason, i don't have better idea atm

but if you can access the site through proxy, then you still can upload & scan files, can't you?

Yes I know its working fine. I can access it through proxy websites, but not from my PC.

Let me ping it and post the result...

    Ping results: Request timed out.
Huh! Thsi is frustating, this is the first time I had a digital problem which I had no idea about.
EDIT: I think it got to do something with my ip or isp. My isp is a local "ghost" isp which is happy with all my BH activities.
Another edit: FUCK man! I cannot even access novirusthanks or jotti virus scanner.

Of those 3 virus scanner sites? No, none of the are accessible. I will talk it out with the ISP guys and see what can be done...

    try to open these sites

    Code:
    http://www.mcafee.com/
    www.avg.com
    www.symantec.com
if these are also not accessible then might be virus attack in ur pc

+1 for this. That is pretty fishy behaviour.

Have you tried connecting another device to your network and using that to access virustotal.com? If you dont have one, you could also boot from a linux install disk and try accessing those sites. That could confirm if you did indeed have something nasty on your pc.

Ok, I doubt you have any malware jumping across your LAN between your linux and windows systems.

One long shot (just to be sure) before you contact your isp: Do you have a router in between your pc and modem? If so bypass the router and plug the laptop directly into the modem. Still nothing? Contact your ISP, something is up on their end.

WTF? Why didn't I think of it, lol I have probably got ARP poisoned. Its a way of router infection in which you change the DNS shit from the router. I will try another router lying around.
Thanks to all you guys for all your help.
