As a university student who was recently laid-off I am looking for a way to earn a decent income.

Because of the fact that I am a university student I have a lot of time available to me, and I would like some ideas as to what I should focus my energy into to receive some results?

hi shortguy! i'm in the same situation as you are but with only about $200 to spend at most on IM-the only thing i don't have is time (part time work>< and i have about 1-2 hours a day for IM, that's probably why i outsource most of my work...not sure if its a wise choice:()...well, for a newbie like me,i'm currently looking into adsense for content, but would most probably shift to clickbank/CPA to try them out...still giving adsense a try for a few months though...you have plenty of time perhaps you can start reading the making money section, doing research and decide what you like and what suits you best, i've yet to find something that suits me but this is important as it will motivate you to keep working even when you see $0 for rainy days...:D BHW has many gold nuggets that people share, perhaps some twist and creativity might help well, i have yet to try them haha, but one thing is for sure, read and read and read and TAKE ACTION! all the best to you!:)

Start out with a blog in a niche you are deeply interested in, apply for an adsense account and do LOADS of reading... there is a Ton of gold information in the forums (just wade thru the Ton of garbage first lol)

Don't buy any products just yet until you clearly understand what you#re buying... most hype online is BS...

Well do you have any skills you can offer to people? If not then there are methods on the forum that don't even require startup $, put your own twist to them and you can make some decent spending money.

Currently I have a niche site that is receiving 50-60 uniques a day. That niche can easily be content locked but im waiting for it to grow first. How much would I expect from a site like that where cpc is $1 ( assuming median ad placement etc ) from Adsense?

Could be $0 and could be $50, no reason not to try it right?

It depends on what kind of niche you are running but with 50-60 uniques a day I would suggest affiliate marketing with bigger payouts. I've had luck with Clickbank and Plimus. If you are able to find a good product that closely matches your niche you should see some decent conversion rates.
