HELP! Threats and ugly competition removal

OK, don't really know where to go. It's not really related to SEO, but I believe I could use some advise, since it's really blackhat.

I am selling replicas (clothing and shoes) both online and offline locally. Recently I've decided to start selling cell phones - the pretty swarovski Gucci, LV, etc. ones. Posted an ad on local internet classifieds. The next day got an ugly sms with threats - "Get out of our market or we'll kick you out of you clothing business, we know your sister and we are really pi**ed off!"

My husband made a nasty phone call to this number, but obviously they didn't find a solution. I can't really go to the police - in my country they will laugh at me (since sms threats are not considered serious - only by law, but who cares about the law?). Also, I am selling replicas myself - they can and will report me back. I AM scared (for myself, my husband, my baby and my sister) - they don't look like teenagers with faulse threts, they are actually organized and I think been in business for some time.

They don't have a website, but I do have both of their cell phone numbers. Any ideas?

What country are you based in? If you are in a country where these threats are realistic then either get out of that market or start selling them through a different domain that you will register with privacy enabled and host it on a different server in a different country.

The country is Latvia, but the threats are not realistic (the will not kill me or beat me up), it's just really nasty and stressful to get all the sms and emails. I did remove the ad and still want a revenge.

put them out of business. its that simple. they are threatening you because they know you might be real competition.....welcome to business.

Don't waste your time on revenge. If the threats are just empty, then only concern yourself with your business. Once you dominate the market, the threats will stop as your competition will be out of business.

in HongKong or the Philippines, the triads are kings...they don't need phone calls, they just kill a pet or a dog [horse even] to get your attention.

I bet these calls are pranks. Good enough to knock you off your comfort zone. LOL

Should always keep anonymous so you have nothing ever to fear. I wouldn't waste your time with them. Try and keep on the lookout for your competition though, just so you can get a ideal of who they are.

Seems very amateurish to threaten someone in a competitive market, their business is probably hurting.
