I'm gonna give this a friendly bump as I could put somthing like this to work as well. Was gonna have something custom coded, but if anyone knows of an existing piece of software then great :).

@ Orzyman: If you would want to split development costs for this I'd be open to chatting. I'm not a coder myself so we would need to outsource. PM me/Skype me if interested. My skype is MarketologyTeam

How do you want it done - windows app, php script, what?

*EDIT* Don't expect it to be free whatever you choose, its a pain in the ass trying to scrape the expire date due to all domain name registrars labelling it differently in whois lookups.

Well, the OP may have something else in mind, but I would like to see it as a desktop app with the ability to use proxies for scraping.

Est on the cost of this?

yea i like it to be a desktop app and like what you said as we all know nowadays no software is not built without proxies and something like a keyword to show sites whois and stuff, so what do you think kboxer?

not sure if this would be helpful but google "whoapi" They provide an api for mass querying whois info.

Not sure but if they return the results in a standard format for all tld it should be easy to create something to figure out days until it expires.

Sorry for the lack of reply - I never received an email from BHW saying people were replying to the thread.

Haven't a clue how much it would cost without having a quick look at it :)

If I get a spare 30 minutes I will try to take a look in the next few days.
