Hello guys, i really need help pls. So i have registered .sg domain for my PBN.

Around after a month, which is today, a police called me, asked me to go down to the police station for assist in investigation after asking me if i have registered for a ______.sg domain and my name under WHOIS.

    problem:
    1) For this .sg domain, i actually copied the content and logo of the previous owner (which is one of the legalized organization -related to government organization in Singapore) from archive.org.

    2) The WHOIS of the domain is not my real name. - which i just changed to my real name already.

Will there be any legal problems where they are going to charge me or jail me? Please help guys.. I am really lost now...

It depends on the Singapore law. You have clearly violated the law by impersonating as the Government.

I'd just abandon the pbn tbh. I'm from singapore and i wouldn't want to get involved with the legal system.

You might be in some type of trouble or they wouldn't be calling.

Copying the content of a legal organization was a big no no.

Why did you change the whois to your REAL name???

I really doubt that anybody here can help you. I would suggest seeing a Lawyer/Solicitor or some other form of legal advisor as soon as you can.

If you touch the Singapore Government, you are like touching a communist Government. My advice to you is to stay as far away as possible from Singapore and never travel there. And pray hard that your country does not have an existing extradition treaty. The country is ultra strict with laws.

    This.

How would we even judge your situation when we do not know all the facts, let alone the laws in Signapore?
    Go see a professional. Now.

Take down the site as soon as possibe & visit the police!

Its not pretty much of an offense and you can easily justify that you were just using it for creating some backlinks! Moreover as Wilson said, try consulting a legal advisor or an attorney!

I need to change the WHOIS to my real name, as if i go down the police station, they will know my real identity.
I have already changed the site to under construction..

I am just around 20 years old. i have no money for laws consultation or whatever so.. this is why i try coming here..

Well you have stolen government content so I guess you will get some kind of a punishment. No idea if they will be looking also into impersonating a government (which I guess could mean actual jail time).

For infringement of the copyrights you can get a fine up to 20k + up to 6 months in jail.

Remember that you have broken a government copyrights in order to obtain commercial advantage (backlinks => better rankings => advantage over competition). Doesn't matter how much you've made on it.

I guess it is better to plea guilty of breaking copyrights than impersonating government (if you will tell them, that you have used it for a commercial advantage (SEO) then my guess is that, they wouldn't pursue the impersonation) ...

    1. DO NOT STEAL (these days it is not difficult to find a person that stolen a content (even if domain is under false data, then your money site is for sure linked to some real account that can be traced if a copyright owner wants to make an example out of you. That is actually their right).

Hopefully this will be a lesson for you, as these days all countries around the globe are start to tight up the IP laws in order to protect owners and business operating in internet as those are having bigger and bigger impact on the economy.

You want content ? CREATE IT !

Contact a lawyer as you are in a serious trouble, most likely no jail time (if yes, then I do not think that more than a month as maximum for it is 6 months) but you should prepare to pay a fine.

You need professional legal advice. Some legal professionals will work pro bono for clients without income but you will need to search locally.
You are dealing with the Police/Government and need to protect yourself.
