HELP! - SAVE My Online BUSINESS - May Have To CLOSE!!!

    Hi all.

    I need some urgent help.

    My online business may have to close, i could really do with urgent help.

    I have done conversion optimisation but cant seam to get a conversion rate higher than 1-1.3%.

    Return visitors convert at 2.3% - 3% - so that is good, and we get this month around 3000, 3500 return visitors - but i need MORE - FASTER, else two years of hard work will be LOST.

    I dont want to give the web address publicly but if anyone can help please do so, i may PM it if you want. The site really is in my opinion, very good.
    Just as good as any main competitors. We have done usability testing, conversion optimisation, checkout process optimisation!

    My traffic has been up to 25,000 unique visitors per month, but now it down to about 13,000

    I need a way to get my traffic up to about 35,000 each month.
    Targeted traffic that actually BUY.

    Most of my traffic comes from SEO - but recently my rankings have dropped.

    We were doing PPC but ive had to turn it off this month as we just cant afford it! We also do monthly email newsletters, but for us to be profitable I need to hit 35,000 visitors per month FAST. Like the next month or so, from about 13,000 at the moment.

    One keyword that has dropped, if i get that up fast that could get me to about 18k quite quickly.

    I have never tried affiliate marketing - maybe thats where i am going wrong, but UK affiliate schemes are VERY expensive to join.

    Any suggestions would be HUGELY APPRECIATED.
    Something needs to change hugely in regards to traffic in a month or its going to be over :-(

    Whats the rush? Why would you 'close' your business when you can keep it running pretty much by making only a couple of hundred dollars?

    The lowest hanging fruit you have are your existing customers. Do a sale. I've found that a higher percentage off doesn't necessarily invoke a higher response. 10% seems to be my sweet spot. Send a "text" email, not html. subject should have their name in it. "John Doe your 10% off coupon is here from xyz.com". Send a coupon code and limit the sale to one week. Write a call to action and create a sense of urgency. Send it out mid week. Most people are busy at the beginning of the week catching up and at the end they are getting ready for the weekend. I typically send three emails. Wed. intro email, following Tues. "Sale ends tomorrow"., Wed. "Only a few hours left". For the three days my # of orders look like this 1 = 150, 2 = 500, 3 = 300.

    Don't completely stop your PPC campaigns. Sometimes you have to spend money to make money. Look at the last month and find the ads that are converting. Sort them by cost per conversion and unpause the ads that convert.
