    Hello!

I have a Wordpress 'New Order Received' page (once an online order is generated from another WP page, a 'New Order Received' page is generated).

    My requirement:
I need a php code or any suitable plugin which can immediately send a single SMS to my own mobile handset on receiving a new order once this 'New Order Received' page is generated. So what could be the module php code that can be added? Is there any WP plugin that can fulfill this requirement?

Everything else is working without any problems, so if someone can help me with a solution to this situation I shall be immensely thankful!

I have tried various methods including searching Google, etc. to get ideas but haven't found any good working solution yet.

Well, now it's sort of real urgent for me to include that functionality, hence the request. :)

    Thanks again.

At present, I am reading all I can from this search result:
    "forward email to sms"

Hoping to find something there, but any help from you is much appreciated.

I am from India, so any India-specific solution is also welcome. My system will be chiefly working in the N. American (US, Canada) and European (chiefly UK) markets. So I am looking for those specific solutions also.

    Thanks again.

    Thanks!

I also hope somebody's guidance who has actually done this successfully. This is because the client who will be using my system will need to get a SMS from the site we have developed for him, and that SMS will be about an order that has been placed through this website. So obviously, the mobile number will be the client's own. That SMS is required to be initiated automatically and very promptly because the order has to be executed within minutes. I hope I am making the situation very clear.

So for immediate testing purpose, I will be using my own mobile number first on a demo/dummy site. Getting a SMS gateway wouldn't be a problem, but I would like to hear someone's own experience in how he/she has achieved this.

Also, basically the gateway needs to address the locality -- in our case there are 3 localities -- one each for every client: US+Canada, UK, and India. Every client will have only one locality. Of course, the gateways can be area-specific or global in nature.

So even one case of experience would do in the beginning, and from there on, we can handle similar situations.

The last resort would be to approach the gateways and get their guidance, but I wished to learn from our friends here if they had some experience in such things. This would also be a very normal practice in very near future, so I thought that someone would have more in-depth, preferably first-hand experience knowledge about this seemingly simple process.

    So basically,
    1. The SMS alert should initiate automatically, the moment a new order is generated for the client's product

    2. Need the SMS to go to only one number (the client's only), automatically (using any script, etc) only

    3. Just that! The SMS is a prompt reminder to the client or his manager or anyone overlooking the sales process. Sms alert needed because the order execution time frame is in minutes only.

Every other things is working properly. Only the SMS alert part remains. :)

    Addendum:

We can produce the coding part, no problems there. But we need to know about the tool / plugin / etc which has this functionality of auto generating a SMS when a new order is generated (i.e., a new database entry is newly inserted in a specific table). It would go like this:

    The flow:
A 'Send Order' button is pressed -- A db related insert statement is executed -- on success of the executed query, a pre-formatted SMS (for example: "You have received a new order") is fired immediately.
