I'm new to the concept of internet marketing and never really thought about making money with it until I stumbled across this forum a few days ago. Great stuff on here and there's unlimited potential.

I want to make sure I start this on a good foundation and that I do things the right way.

1. I've read that the chance of getting accepted by an affiliate network is increased if you own your own business. Does this mean that I need to legally register a business at the county clerks office, own a website, or both?

2. As far as the CONTENT of the business goes, should it be marketing related, news/blogs, or does it even matter?

3. You guys are geniuses.

Thanks in advance.

1. Having both is best. A wordpress blog will do it if you are short on cash. I got mine
gracefulmedia.net for $100 from mattstrike on the BST area.

This is the post you want to read http://www.blackhatworld.com/blackhat-seo/cpa/17845-how-guarantee-acceptance-into-cpa-companies.html

That's a really nice site. What exactly did you get for the $100? The domain/hosting? Design? I would like to do something along those lines as well. Blogging really isn't my style, but if I have to do it I will.

Thanks for that redirect too. That post answered a few other questions! haha

buy a website is better.
about 50-100 usd / website

also, is it common for someone to have a primary, professional-looking website that is used only for the purpose of gaining affiliate network access and then using other domains to do the "dirty work"?
