Okay so I'm having an issue with purchasing a .fr domain. It's a long term project and I'm not that comfortable to register it in my name. What do you guys suggest? Fake docs or what? Never had to go through this as I've purchased only domains that allow whois guard. Answers based on experience would be highly appreciated.

You can try to use fake id and details, but be aware the registrar will possibly ask to see official supporting documentation.

Yup, I thought of that but I'm kinda clueless to what docs they would ask. As I said it's a long term thing so losing it over this is out of discussion.
Can you please share via PM the domain registrar you've used? Will do a deeper research to see what others have experienced.

If using Fake you always run the risk of loosing the Domain. If its something that you are planning on using long term I would not risk it if it was me.

You could put all this time and effort into this project and they could pull it at any time if they figure out the info is fake or send you an email that you don't get and so on.
