Help posting ads

Hi everyone!

So, here is my site upperlegpain.net (so you can see what I'm talking about) If not then maybe I can explain it. I am trying to put up banner ads in the side columns of my website. One on the far left side (outside of the post itself) and one on the right side as well as one on top. How do I edit the actual website itself so that I can do this? As of right now it is just wasted space and I would like to be able to add ads.
