    Hi there guys

I have a male enhancement site that is on the third page for it's main keyword. I also have started a classifieds site that is just starting up but is already getting about 10 posts a day.

Google is crawling the classifieds site well and has already indexed about 200 pages or so. I was wondering if I should put a backlink on the footer of every page of my classifieds site linking out to my male enhancement site. That way, I have a backlink every time someone posts a ad in my classifieds site.

I am just worried about the content though. They are obviously not even closely related and I would have to put the link somewhere in the bottom where people don't notice it. The enhancement site serves the U.S. and the classifieds site serves India. So, they don't match even in that sense.

Will this affect either of my sites in a bad way. Will Google penalize me for this and will these backlinks help my SERP's. Sorry about all the questions but it was hard to find an answer for a situation like this. Will be grateful for your opinions.

I wouldnt, you can pay someone here 5-10 bucks to submit your links to sites that will probably give you a better result.

I would keep them seperate if possible

Summary of some "common SEO beliefs" items to consider:

    2 way backlink: little benefit
    1 way backlink: plus
on same server / ip: little benefit
using same google accounts: little benefit
linking to a "bad neighbourhood" (male enhancement sites are often stereotyped as such): minus to the linking page

Thanks for the replies guys. I think I am not going to link them unless I get some more assurance from the members here who might have tried something similar.

You're asking if it's safe to build a link farm. Those kinds of link farms are out with the 90's.

5 years ago had a boss at a web development company try to tell me that that was how you do SEO. He was about 15 years in the past. haha

I recommend you use tools like SEnuke and Scrapebox or hire guys on here who provide such services. They will help build your some decent links.

If you was to cross link them, link them like this:

site A links to site B
site B links to site C
site C links to site A

I've tried this before with no problem. Just never reciprocal back

If you are using Adsense be careful about your crosslinking, especially if your sites are on a shared hosting server...
