Am hosting with namecheap and some days ago, i upgraded to dedicated server as my website was offline, and just 5 days after upgrading, i was told my site consume lots of resources and asked to upgrade to another bigger plan called, Dedicated Server Hosting Express 2 which is $149+ $28 cpanel/softaculous per month, and this website makes less than $350 per month!!!!

A link to namecheap dedicated hosting plans https://www.namecheap.com/hosting/express-dedicated.aspx

The website has about 4000 articles, 5000 comments and no videos, no images, only content, please BHW, can someone recommend me a reliable host?
I will sign up under your link.

If i don't get a cheaper and relible host, i will be moving the site to blogger.

    Thanks in advance.

And how many UV's are you getting per day? I am asking this because the content on your website is not image/video heavy. So how come you are using up so many resources?

    cheers

I migrated my SaaS from NC dedicated server to JaguarPC linux VPS. Cost cut down was almost 85% but performance was same. If you are receiving pageview less than 25K per day then move to JaguarPC VPS. It will cost $50/month.

Check that your crawl settings in webmasters is low, i've had a problem where that consumed to much of my site resources.

Any high VPS will do the job for that site. And if you optimize the site it would be even better...

I thought you have something like 3k visitor dailly,200 visitor dailly should not a problem I believed on common webhost..unless you. Have a heavy duty plugin installed,in wp plugin like stat plugin usually causing high cpu resource usage..I also has a blog with same visitor as your paid only 35$ discounted 20$ ..so I'm only paid 15$ a year, this is my. Second year..hostgator is good anyway for consideration

You got him wrong. He said 200 visitors at a time on the site. Meaning there are about 200 average visitors on the site at any particular time. That means about 5000+ visitors/day

~200 visitors at a time (~5000+ visitors/day) is not very much to handle by Intel E3-1230 4 x 3.2 GHz and 8 GB RAM, would you please shed some light on what framework are you using for your website and is it optimized???

PM me your website URL and I might help you to optimize it better.

I think there is something going on you don't know about, any of these sites been hacked?

That's a heck or a resource hog for such a site. For that matter that's a heck of a resource hog for 20 such sites.

How big are your header images?

Or the company you are with has something going on they don't know about....

It may be just me but I have a feeling you may have fallen for an upsell here. Unless Namecheap said they be forced to suspend your hosting for the rest of the month or already did, looks like you fell for an upsell here.
