I will be running scrapebox, AMR, and either Senuke or VSEO on a regular, but not non-stop basis because I'm only doing SEO for 3 or 4 sites. I and all my sites and clients are in the US.

    A) Do I really need a VPS? I am thinking maybe so because my internet provider has strict caps on bandwidth usage and will throttle me down if I use too much.

    B) If I DO get a VPS what kind of config would I need to be able to run these tools at a good speed? Is 1GB RAM with 30GB disc space on Windows 2008 from thrustvps enough for these programs? If not then what is the minimum I can use and see good speed?

I'm using a VPS from the guys in my sig , It depends on how much bandwidth your ISP allows but if your running the tools each day then you really need to get a VPS.

What budget do you have and 1gb RAM is not enough to be honest.

I'd like to spend under $20 to be honest. I'm already paying a LOT of hosting fee's for other stuff (that won't allow blackhat software on their servers) and I'd like to start out as cheaply as possible and if I expand then upgrade later. What is the cheapest I can go and see decent performance with seo tools?

^^ The Emerald Package is your best bet. But its still going to be slow , I would recommend around 2-3gb RAM minimum for what you need.

It really depends on what you need and what you can afford. Typically at $50 you can get quad core, 2gb ram, 230gb space, unmetered bandwidth

That sounds like a lot :)

Do you think I'll have a problem running Senuke/Scrapebox on a config like that? I don't mind if it takes a little bit longer as long as it's still stable and within reasonable speed. I'm only doing SEO for 3 or 4 sites total so I'm not going to be running stuff 24/7 or anything super crazy.

    Thx

For 3-4 tools, you should get the package that is at least 2-3gb ram and higher processor and if you are just running scrapebox like I am, the 1.5gb ram package is enough for scrapebox to run very well.

I feel that the price and specs of vps is not as important as the uptime. Lousy providers who dc every now and then will undermine your efforts. I have experienced blasting hundreds of thousands of links through the night and waking up just to find out that the pc was restarted and I have to redo again.

Not to say that all their support gives canned replies to such problems..beware.

I have scrapebox, submit eaze, amr, bookmark demon and TBS. Are you saying that i can use these tools on a web server?

How does one do that? Is there a special license for that?

I have some VA's and I think this would be great instead of them coming to my office.

Please someone recommend a good host and one who can help set up the above systems.

I believe so, that is what I've been told and I believe that it allows you to wash IPs via proxy services easier as well.

I'm using thrustvps at the moment and i find them alright..just alright(no wow).only 1 major downtime so far..i have used xsserver.eu before and i have a feeling that they are overselling because of the poor performance.
