I downloaded a "trial" for Microsoft Office 2007 and after following the directions to "activate" it, it seems to have locked up. I can open documents but can't save, print, or modify them (word, excel, PP, etc) and when you try to type someting in a blank document there is a message in the bottom that says something like "this modification is not allowed because the selection is locked" and the toolbars/ribbons are greyed out.

anyone know a way to fix this?

I found this site, but it didn't seem to work for me...
    Code:

    Please Help!!

So, I guess you activated it online? Did it ever accept your serial?

Sometimes if it doesn't like some code it'll lock up to protect you. Can you click the bright glowing office logo in the upper left corner?

In XL and WW click the logo and go to Options (it's at the bottom below "recent docs").
Go to the "Trust Center", then "Trust Center Settings".
Enable everything. This will leave you vulnerable but at least you'll see if internal security is killing you.

    Or, there's this:
    from
    Code:
    excelforum.c0m/excel-general/667194-how-to-activate-greyed-out-ribbon-items.html
    and this:

At the bottom of the first page it tells you how to completely obliterate Office and do it over. If you need help activating send me a PM.
