    Hi,

I own a .co domain of a large company that now belongs to google and I want to know if I should try to sell it to them, or would they more likely go after me legally? The company name is 3 letters followed by software (XXXsoftware.com). Also, if I buy Whois protection for this domain, could they still be able to find my personal information?

    Thanks a lot

I had a domain with a famous company on it, and the lawywers contacted me to delete the site and give them the domain.
The domain had like 3 words and then the company name and they still got me in problems, so beware.

You can't squat on a .co vs .com typo legally since you're still violating the trademark.

But if you owned MacDonalds.com they can't take that away from you.

If you're going to squat DO NOT use US based registrar's or anywhere in the commonwealth.
