    Hi All!

I purchased my first VPS from DamnVPS AKA ThrustVPS.

It asked me to enter my domain in form of server1.mydomain.com so I did.

After that the setup was showing pending. Now the setup shows ACTIVE.

Now when I login, I see a link server1.MyOwnSite.com and When I click it, I see a page which doesn't load.

obviously, server1.MyOwnSite.com would not load since I didnt do upload anything to my hosting/site.

What Do I need to do?

    Please Help:)

If you want to change the hostname, type:
    hostname servername.domain.com

Then go to your domain registrar and set up an A record to point the ip at the hostname you set up above.

If you want to host separate domains on there, that will all depend on what flavour of linux you put on there (if its Linux!)

Personally I use Ubuntu and put together a small script to set up new domains.

I should be back in a few hours or so - if you need help, shout me on MSN.

so basically its a naked VPS? if you do not have an OS installed you can't do much... when you ordered what did it come with? I suggest installing a control panel after, then going to your domain registrar and forwarding the nameservers to your VPS' IPs
