What things to focus on while you're building links manually.
Should I focus on blog commenting or creating web 2.0 accounts or posting articles ?

Which method will boost my site's ranking?
    Anyone has any idea?

Both method will contribute to help your site ranking.

With blog method, you should find the auto approved comment and do-follow.

Actually if he is going the manual route he is better off not doing AA sites. Those things get hit hard with the software so manual should be reserved for the ones that scrapebox etc does not bang on as hard. Higher PR pages with low obl is what you want to look for to get the best bang for your time.

Having said that you should never do just one type of back linking. Mix it up and do some of each.

Focus on sites that aren't supported by software like SENuke. theres lots of sites out there that aren't spammed because theyre too difficult to. and manual linkbuilding takes advantage of that

The thing with web 2.0 accounts that the links you get from them are mostly nofollow...
Why don't you exchange links with high PR sites ? I don't see why you are unwilling to use SEO tools, they can really speed things up. For example, I use Link Assistant to locate good partner sites and then email them by hand, picking each partner manually.

From my experience I can say what you do , May blog comments / Article post or Link wheels by Web2site DO then Index well. Until you don't get any boost at ur SERP.

You can do it with the free version of Link Assistant. What is does is it finds sites associated with your business and shows what PR they have. So, you can pick them manually from there.

I agree, Link Assistant is a great tool to find backlinks pointed to your competition or niche specified sites. It takes some time to research link value and PR but definetly worth it when your looking for higher value backlinks.

You should be as diverse as possible, that said hit up the download section you can find tools to do blog commenting at least semi auto for free, and you can use something like the free version of onlywire to do social bookmarking where all you have to do is enter captcha (5 minutes for 45 sites).
