i need some urgent advice. either my computer is possed or has some sort of virus.

    here is what it does.

cd tray opens and closes anytime. im not even doing anything with it.

the screens when i open a new page only open half size. i have to hit the full size button everytime to see the whole page size.

pages suddenly close or my downloads suddenly end during downloading.

can anyone tell me what program is good here that i can use to fix this?

so far all i know how or what to do is hit the system restore?

any advice is urgently needed thanks.

Sounds like you may have a trojan.

Get a firewall & install it. If you aren't sure what to choose (allow / deny) when the firewall asks, google the process (exe) that's asking to use the net. If it's suspicious, deny it.

Get yourself a good firewall too, like Kaspersky or NOD32.

And get yourself some good antispyware tools, like malwarebytes, superantispyware, spybot, and adaware.

I think that's your problem right there. Installing untested torrent files.

Upload all the files you download to multi-virusscan websites like virustotal.com or jotti.org

Nod32 isn't so good when it comes to adwares and some other net pests.

I am more then pleased with Comodos antivirus (it's free and works great) with the only exception that it gives false warnings on pretty much every keygen/patch but it's so good in hunting down real crap so if uncertain one just install and see what happens and then run a scan to get rid of possible crap. Never failed for me.

Comodo got a good firewall, antivir + some other nice functions that comes in the same package. Try it out and if your computer still act strange.. Well then you better pour some holy water over it and read some prayers.

...or just install PC Tool Spyware Doctor as a complement to Nod32... Works great too.

bro... get AVG Free edition and Adaware.. let them scan your system, ( dont run them both at once ) this should fix any problem, and as clix said a firewall is a must. And next time you go downloading shit on the internet ESPECIALLY torrents... scan them with AVG before opening, torrents are known to contain trojans

it sounds to me like your computer is definitely possed lol

macs are good and difficult to get viruses on...

I personally recommend McAfee (a lot of ppl will prob disagree) but I have never had any probs at all.

Any files it doesnt like it wont let you install them.

    virus total rocks too...

    :D
