Hello everyone, and thank you for taking your time to read my thread.

After reading lots and lots on this forum, I have decided to make my own website, using health, beauty, and DIYs as niche, and currently have 217 active posts.
Now, I'm stuck, I already set-up ads on my blog, and don't know what to do next, how to get traffic, or how to monetize my web.
If you can help me with any ideeas, please just write a reply.
Thanks very much, and happy holidays!

That's a pretty broad niche. But you have a lot of posts, so as long as they are good quality it should be ok. Have you considered splitting it into sub domains OP? So that people looking for DIY have a designated sub domain to go to, instead of having to look at loads of Health and Beauty stuff?

For traffic, #1 has got to be SEO. There's so much about it on BHW, so just have a read around and get some good on page and off page SEO.
Facebook is a great source of free (Or paid if you want to use the ads) traffic. Take a look at BTB's facebook group method and get some views to your posts.
You could make Youtube videos related to your articles?
Other social media like twitter/instagram/pinterest?
PPC advertising? (Bing offers a free $100 coupon, so it's worth giving it a go for free traffic)

As for monetization, if you already have adsense set up then to optimize how much you make you should do some testing and work out the best ad sizes and positioning for the most clicks.
You could link to Amazon Affiliate products fairly easily I assume in your articles (e.g. Send someone to some makeup or some DIY cupboard or whatever they want and get paid when they buy it).
If you could find some CPA offers related to your niche, include those in your posts and make some $$$.
Put an opt-in on your homepage and send out a newsletter promoting good posts as well as promoting affiliate products, like Amazon again or Clickbank etc.

The possibilities are endless. Just use a bit of imagination.

Its very simple, i am going to tell you how i did it and made $5 a days with a blog but couldnt continue it because of some personal problems but what you should do is you should find related groups on facebook and join all of them with your personal account as this is going to be a very old and legitimate account so it will take alot before getting banned.

Make a list of more than 100 groups with atleast 1000 members and post your new articles in them, using this i used to easily get 1000 visitors a day.

Plus make a stumbleupon account and submit links there, plus make an acount on redit and do the same in the relevant sub niche i used to just copy intreguing and eye catching articles from big sites and put them on my site and just used to share 3 times a day, something like 9am then 3pm then 9pm so it doesnt look like you are spamming and just do 30-35 groups per hour and thats it.

At the start this is going to be enough to bring you good amount of traffic and getting you your first dollar online! Sooner or later one of your articles are going to go viral and then you will have something good going on!

I hope this helped! :)

sooner or later your articles will go viral....NOOOOOOO IT WONTTTTT

if you chose niches that everyone else is doing then having good on page SEO and writing a good article in itself is step one in the process but will get you no where.

once you have your on page seo set right, you have optimized your KWs and your on page info, articles etc. --- that is the easy part btw.

you have to figure out how to get traffic and people lookking for that stuff to your site.
you can pay for traffic to your site. PPC, FB ads PINT ads, or you can go the tride ans true organic white or black hat way ...

some that was mentioned above is useful... youtube videos, social pages....all FB TWIT PINT IG SNAP etc etc...and you have to engage and bring them in.
just type in the search box "getting traffic to new site" and read and educate yourself just like all of the others on here that were once new and now making money.
dont ask for a handout do some work and read and learn.....YOU HAVE TO MAKE YOUR BONES JUST LIKE ALL OF US DID AT ONE TIME OR ANOTHER....

Thanks everyone for your fast replies.

I have already bought MassPlanner and tried some Facebook group posting, but always joining groups gets me banned.
I did not set-up AdSense, as I've read lots of posts saying that other CPA networks are more reliable and have better conversions than AdSense, so I started with PeerFly and their banner rotator.
Kieranight: thanks so much, just added the subscribe top bar from MailChimp.
nomansohail: starting right away, thanks.
DigitalCity: Thanks for your reply, I've read lots of articles over here, trust me, and I did not ask for any help or free stuff for my page, just that I'm stuck at here and don't know what to do next.

Oh yeah they will definitely go viral, Sooner or later, network with other pages in your niche and ask them nicely out of 100 atleast 5-10 will help you out, one of my article went viral which i copied EXACTLY from daily mail and got me 135k UV in one day and got on the first page for the term "GMO Babies" and it was ranking even above CNN and BBC for the same term.

I chose a very difficult niche "news" not specific news just general news and this was before i even joined BHW!

I didnt know ANYTHING about SEO back then i learned a few tricks like sharing on facebook groups from BHW which helped me alot along the way and that one viral article got me bunch of natural links!

In my honest advice if you want quick and instant results SEO is not the way to go if you want permanent and slow results go with SEO

In no way i am saying SEO is not important its absolutely important but if you want some quick results (which would keep you motivated) you should really follow some of the things i said plus what others above said and then do SEO along the way!

Plus yeah study study study on BHW and you will have a good website soon

EDIT:: look around the forum for the latest number of groups you can join per hour on facebook or just make a new thread about it and just join that many i think you can easily join more than 100 groups in a week's time and if each group has atleast 1000 followers that's 100k people seeing your post!

If you were copying articles directly and claiming they were yours, you were lucky that you stopped because of personal reasons, not because The Daily Mail saw your "viral" article that you copied from them and sued you.

Please don't encourage OP to do stupid shit that will get him in trouble. The Facebook part - Good general idea, but the idea to take content without editing it at all and advertise it to death is just asking for trouble.
And DigitalCity is right, it is very unlikely that your article will go viral and even if it does, I would not want a 100% copied article going viral that links back to me imo.

just update your site regularly with fresh contents and your on the go for sure..
