Without going into too much detail, I work at a company that sells a registry cleaner. My job is basically managing the PPC, running the email campaigns, and SEO as a distant third because my boss doesn't really believe in it. One of my goals is to really impress him (I got this job only a month ago) and get the search term 'registry cleaner' to number one on Google. At my office I currently have a dart board with paretologic (current #1 spot) on it. I'm gunning for that position, and I want to bring those guys down! What are some of the most powerful tactics that will put our website to #1? Right now I'm thinking of YouTube videos on how to clean your registry with our link in the description. I'm also thinking of doing some Tweets and posting to some social networking sites to get more links out. Does comment spamming still work? I remember using the yourname at yourkeywords trick quite a bit and having success getting links there. I realize there has been a Panda update, but does comment spam still fly? Also, Yahoo Answers? I know the links are nofollow but they seem to have got me juice in the past. Should I spend any time here? What are your ideas, please. I want to do this in 3 months time. Keep in mind that I have hours at work to do this. I also have access to Raven Analytics..
