    ---- THREAD CLOSED 08/05/2013 ----
So I bought a cheap hosting package from poweruphosting and it was working fine till yesterday. Now when I enter my password and try to login, nothing happens. why is that? I have tried with a wrong password and then it tells wrong password. So, it shouldn't be a problem with the vps. Any help will be highly appreciated :)

    Thanks.

Chances are it crashed and needs reboot. Often happens with VPS with too little RAM. Running some scrapers like Hrefer, Scrapebox, can fill the RAM as can content scrapers and such like. Also some tools that create 1000's of spun articles can also run your RAM pretty close if you only have a GIG. Remember almost 50% of it is used by the OS - so upgrading to 2 gig isn't doubling your available RAM - it's tripling it.

Scritty might be right. Login to the VPS panel and check the resource usage. If you see it's all red, then reboot the machine.
