    hi guys

    I freelance sometimes, and use WORDPRESS TEMPLATES for my site designs.

    How do i hide the theme name and info shown under APPEARANCE >> THEMES (or if i could even change the content here would be good)

    I usually customize the templates, but i dont want my clients seeing this info? ANYONE?

    i think you can do that by replacing the above comments in the theme files.

    There has to be a theme name etc.

    Don't know the answer to that.. But you may or may not know this..

    You can rename the theme folder wp-content/themes/theme name <<

    So people can't see what theme you have used when viewing the source code.

    You have to activate another theme before doing this, then switch back.

    You can hide the Appearence menu itself using actions.
    Copy and paste the code below in your functions.php

    Yeh, i get what you mean.. It shouldn't be too difficult & would be very handy to do.

    You can change the theme 'name' and 'by' by editing the style.css for the theme..

    Current theme: wordpresstheme
    by: wordpress.com

    to what ever you like, find this in style.css..

    Code:
    /*
    Theme Name: Theme Name
    Description: Premium Template
    Version: 3.6
    Author: Author name
    Author URI: http://themeurl.com
    */

    Ok you need to do a few things so it does not f up on ya.

    1. start with a fresh copy of the theme on your desktop
    2. rename the theme folder to which you prefer
    3. now open the main style.css file with your fav editor
    4. look for line 2 "Theme Name: examplename" and replace the name to what you named the theme folder and save
    5. you can edit the image to your own. It is in the main folder named "screenshot" it is usually 300x225. create your new image name it screenshot save as png Replace the original
    6. Now zip it and log in to dash board. Now upload and activate
    7. you should be good to go
