Hi everyone. Hope you can help in this matter. I have a blog and I am sending traffic to my youtube videos through a d f l y links. The problem is that I don't want Youtube to see that the source of the views is a d f l y. There's any way to hide that?

Thank you for the answer. Does youtube like anonymous referrer? Why am I asking this? well, the video is stuck in 301+ views for about 12 hours and I am sure that it is still receiving views. The adfly links has received about 7000 hits. So I guess youtube doesnt like views coming from adfly, that is why it must be not counting me the views. But what about anonymous source? I have read that bots used to use anonymous referrer and youtube was not counting the view either. So maybe youtube is not friend of anonymous source? I would thank if you or anyone else can tell if it is safe to try this (anoney) because I don't want to mess up that account which is linked to adsense. I am affraid if I anoney, youtube may think I am send traffic from some bot. May this happen? Thank you

If you dont want to use an anonymous referrer then how about
set up a javascript redirect on a domain you own that redirects to your video.
send adfly to that url instead.
the traffic source will show as your domain.

Thank you both for answering

I was reading all the afternoon about "spoof referral" but It seems I need to be more advanced about using codes and that would take me longer to resolve this issue. Besides, all the threads about "spoof referral" I found, are from 2010-2012 so I guess that it is very likely that google and youtube has already found the way to see when a page it's trying to fake their traffic.. am I right?

If you dont want to use an anonymous referrer then how about

That sounds as something I can try. It doesn't seems to be difficult to do. I wonder if youtube would count views coming from redirects? I think that they are not counting views coming from a d fly redirect, because they want views that reflect user's real interest to watch the video and with a d f ly links the user doesn't have the certainty about what really is behind the 5-sec ads, so very likely they are considered as spam views.
So redirects could be the same case?... have you tried to do this? Anyway I will try it and I will tell my results later. Any suggestion in the meanwhile would be nice.

Add Custom Domain. So that you can hide the a d f l y link source.

Thank you, k.h.rifat for that suggestion but I already have my custom domain. Sorry for not mentioning that before. When I say a d f y link I am already refering to my custom domain. Even though I have that custom domain Youtube is not counting the views coming from it. Views counter got stuck at 301 even when my a d f l y stats said I had more than 10k clicks. So I guess go ogle (you tube) can check easily when a domain is addressing to a d f y . What do you think?

Hi,

If you are an Advertiser you can use the 'White label traffic' feature, it will allow to hide the AdFly referral URL. For more information you can go to adf ly / contact

Thank very much for this answer. The javascript redirect worked perfect. Youtube decided to count the views and I passed the 301 barrier :)

I am not advertiser. I am publisher. I put a d f l y between the source and the target.

How about gocodes plugin if we are on w o r dpress??

I have not heard about gocodes before so I will research more about that. Thank you for the suggestion.

thanks for this
