[HELP]Home page auto redirecting to another 404 page

    I created a page in my site and deleted it and now Home page is auto redirecting to that 404 page? what the fuck is happening?

    In Settings->Reading did you pick A static page for the front page? If you did and it was the page you deleted that would cause the 404.

    Can't think of anything else. Have you checked the trash folder it may still be in there and you can un-delete it then work out what happened.

    If you didn't select the page you deleted as your homepage are you using the redirection plugin? If so then try deactivating it and see if your blog works. The redirection plugin has been doing some weird and wonderful things lately no idea wht but every time you edit a page it seems to have a mind of its own and start redirecting stuff

    Yes, had a similar problem with my blog and after deactivating my redirection plugin, it was sorted.

    problem solved ..chatted with bluehost support team..one of the guys took my wp login and pass and fixed it...now i can see he deleted the redirection plugin and now i have to set my affiliate links all over the site ... yeppie.:D

    and another thing after six month this site now got sandboxed..really wired.. the problem was like for 20 hrs and my site got dissepeared from the serp.

    any one has any idea which plugins to use for safe redirection?
