Hello, my name is Dani. I have previous experience from Twitter and a little bit from Instagram. I want to start over with 3 pages at the same time: one about food, one about puppies and one about beautiful landscapes.

I have a few questions and I'd like that if some of you who have already grown your own pages could help me.

I am going to do this 100% manually, and I don't want to get banned. My intention is to follow people from big accounts, and I know Instagram has an official maximum per hour follows of 60.

So I would like to know a few things:

    - When you started over your own pages, how many people did you follow per hour or everyday, or just: WHEN AND HOW MANY?

    - Once you had some more followers (how many?), did you follow more? HOW MANY?

Thank you very much. I have been looking for this in the Search thing but I found nothing very exact from people who had already grown their communities.

So the thing is: WHAT SHOULD I DO TO START?

there's no need to add someone on Skype to answer your questions, take care. :)

Have a look in the Journey Section of this forum and you'll surely be able to find some manual IG Journeys.

It's really rare getting banned doing it manually, but you can get temporary blocked from following. That limit of 60/hr is the limit for the developer's api.

Just try it yourself, but don't act spammy. If you get temporary blocked you know it was too much.

Go easy in the beginning, something like 200/day is fine.

Also the "follow-big-accounts-followers" method is really stupid if you want an actual community.
Follow people who just recently (15-30 mins ago) liked a picture from a popular acc in your niche.

These users are active right now and are also obviously interested in the content, much higher Follows/Followers rate that way.

    Thanks. But when you say 200/day, it means 60 + 60 + 60 + 60 in a row at each hour?

no, he means you should spread it throughout the day... Just follow a few, do something else, come back follow some more...

I believe it's always better to spread your activity throughout the day.

For a new account, you could follow 100/per hour for 6 hours... and unfollow 50/per hour for 6 hours... i do that for my new account and they go just fine.. also helps if you like about 500 images daily, it would help your interaction if you don't just follow them but interact with them...
you could buy a few followers to increase your follow back rate...
Like imGrej said, follow the likers/commenters of big account posts that shows that they are active and ready to interact with u, the earlier you follow them the higher chances of being followed back immediately, if u use the instagram app then i suggest u turn on post notification for the popular pages that would help you know when they post

    Hope this helps... :)

    Thank you all.

But you all say different things. I just want to be concrete and know how many to follow and when, something like times!

For example. 60 per hour during 4 hours. And if it has a time difference between 60 like 30-30, tell me! :D

I am pretty sure the 60/hour is restricted to the API as that number is referenced inside the API documentation. I've been able to follow upwards 150 accounts as fast I could tap before I got tired. However, I am not saying you are fine with following 150/hour...

you confusing everybody here, if you wanna do this manually there is no need reading avout API limits just hit the follow button for a reasonable amount time, which 60 aint it... if you using an app 60 is the limit per hour but not manually....
well been following 200 per hour for over 3 months now and i have never been banned... sometimes i even follow more than that... :)
