[HELP] Failed With Pinterest Marketing. Any Advice, please?

Hello all BHW members. I hope you're all doing well..:)

I have a beauty blog and monetize it with amazon.I'm on a really tight budget at the moment, therefore i can't afford buying links. So, driving free traffic from pinterest is the best option for me right now..

I've been trying to drive traffic from pinterest to my blog and have still no success. I have started pinterest marketing for 2 months and here is My current stat:
  • 4.3 monthly views
  • 300 monthly engaged
  • about 3-8 visitors/day to my website
  • 3 boards
  • About 30 pins. All of them are my own pins. I've never repinned others' pins because i worry if i do that it will drive traffic to other people's website:D Call me selfish but that's normal, isn't it?
So, please help me :
  1. Why do I fail with pinterest?
  2. What should I do/improve to drive more traffic to my blog?

I have read many pinterest guides and most of them said that "how to" and "listicle" posts work on pinterest .
All of My posts are "the best xxx" kind of post and so my pins are.(ex: top 10 Best Products for Sensitive Skin)
Will this kind of pins has no chance to get repinned and viral?

What are your thought, my friends..? I really need your advice ..:(

What does that mean?
Do you have 30 pins in total?


And what means "4.3 monthly views"? It that 4.3 million views on your pins?

How is this failing?

You started 2 months in, 4.3k is the norm if you don't repin others

Just do more of:
- Reach out to group boards
- Have more content up
- Rank for pinterest keywords

You literally can't fail pinterest lol.

Should i buy repins? or buy group board invites and then pin to those group boards?

I suggest you get your budget first. Trying to "figure things out" on your own when you are new is hard. And even harder for you to test things out w/ $.

Go into client work, the value you provide corelates with how much you are paid.
Testing & getting paid is easier when you can get instant feedback from the market

As of now:
- You lack the funds for content
- Skin in the game or at least $ to buy courses/guidance
- Don't know how to rank
- And don't know when & how much you'll get paid

Sounds more like a cash flow problem than a pinterest problem.

So, you have tried everything, but you have only 30 pins on your account?
Don't you see by yourself what's the issue?

Pin more! Almost daily.

To be honest, I just don't want to promote others' sites:D

No, I get your point, mate. I just asked to you, besides pinning more should I repin others' pins.

You can also setup more than 1 account. Main + support accounts are what some of us have done here. The main has boards within your niche while supports are suppose to be normal pinterest users doing pinterest things. Whether or not you put the accounts in separate proxy seems to be a matter of preference, so its up to you.

I did it actually. I created one support account and i do the same(only pin my own content and have only 30 pins). Both of the 2 accounts only drive 3-8 visitors/day to my blog. It makes me think that it's not worth it.
I have read some pinterest journey here and some blog post and they suggest to pin up to 30/day. I don't think I can do this.
This is because creating a high quality pinterest graphic takes time. I need 1-2 hours to create a perfect pinterest graphic. That's why I only pin 1-3 /day.
I don't know how they can pin 30 times/day. Unless they buy the graphic.:D
Now, I'm thinking of either buying repins to rank my pins or creating hundreds accounts like many members here do.
What's your advice, mate?

I'll try and answer the questions that you sent me and posted in the AMA thread as soon as I get a chance. But from what you have posted above it seems like you really just need to scale up. Sadly though the type of blog post you are referring to has been spammed to fuck and back on Pinterest by some idiots who made crappy cartoon pins and pinned them a billion times across all group boards. The problem with mass spam like that, is that over time people will be way less interested in those posts. I wish I had some examples to show you but even those people have stopped doing it because it must have dried right up.

That said you dont have bad stats considering you have only posted 30 pins total. you just need to scale up.
