Dude its only been 2 weeks. Give it another 2 to 4 weeks and it will update on Google.

20k links per tumblr might get your blogs deleted. Go easy with the links.

You have it all around.

PA = Pointless for checking Tumblrs. Focus on the amount of d0follow referring domains.
Spam check = Absolutely not necessary with web 2.0s. Especially considering that the first thing you've done with them was to spam them with GSA links.
GSA links = Pretty much useless.
Indexing = Wait longer, as the guys above me mentioned.

If your sites were not indexing even when you throw 20k gsa links - did you check whether that 20k were auto approved, or 20k submitted? AA and submitted has a big difference.
Even if they were 20k AA, if that still doesn't index your links, then your link list is very bad indeed, otherwise a 20k AA will definitely get the job done.
You can additionally submit the site to instant link indexing services that usually get the job done or using an indexing software would also get the job done.

I know this is a few months old but I have a question about this: I am currently scraping expired tumblrs and I look mostly at Majestic metrics/referring domains, but I never register a tumblr that is not indexed by google. I assume if the metrics (Moz, Majestic etc...) are so great and the blog is not indexed, something must be shady and Big G. deindexed it, so no point in registering it and risking being penalized.

What do you think? Do you still register expired Tumblrs that are not indexed by Google and get them indexed successfully? Or do you just dismiss them like I do?

Think.

It is normal that some blogs are not indexed.
Let's say a tumblr (or any other blog, website) is not live for months or years. Why the heck would Google keep it indexed?

Right. I did think though and assumed if such a Tumblr has nice metrics (and I am talking really good metrics here), then chances are it did not expire years ago, or even months ago.

It has probably just expired because we are always on the lookout for such blogs and they usually don't stay expired for long.

In this case it should still be indexed shouldn't it?

Or is there something wrong with my thinking?

Register them.

Even if they have shady links, web2.0's tend to act as a good filter.
Also, I can get tumblrs that are deleted years ago and they still have backlinks.

You can always register and see if Google is indexing the blog. Post some content (longer is better) and wait at least a few weeks.
Once it does, go and post your link. Simple.

Hi there,
I found some expired tumbles which has 2-3 links from high authority sites but its overall RD (16-20) is less. So my question is whether shall I go with such type if tumblrs or not?

Don't see a problem with those. They are free after all.
