Little about what I'm doing right now.

Spending 4hrs on IM & 4-5 hrs on my life goal. I'm happy with current work schedule but the problem is, I'm not able to invest enough time on what I really wanna learn. However to achieve my goal, money is prominent.

    I have 2 options....

    1. Leave IM and dedicate myself to life goal(10-12 hours) by working offline (relevant to my goal).

    2. Just go hard at IM. Currently, earning an avg. of $25/day with IG+PPI method. Kinda automated.
I started thinking about IM in Oct, 2015 but took action in Nov, 2015 after joining here. Earning stats are not so disappointing.

In above, many of you might suggest option 1 but the problem is it takes 5 years of hard work to get there. Where as, if I implement option 2 it takes me only 1.5-2 year to get there but need to make at-least $500 per day online (I have offline income source as well).

Loan/ Other investment source, not my style. I just want to earn by myself whether it is online/offline.

    I need senior/experienced folks advice..please!
Can I make $500/day by investing quality time (4-5 hrs) on IM by working smart/hard? Is it a realistic goal?
Or should I take up offline work and do it in 5 years time?

[ IM Current stats: making $25/day on IG and running trail campaign's PPC on bing/FB...Started IM in Nov, 2015. ]

Getting to $500 per day won't be easy. Just look at what it took to get you to $25 per day.

Having said that, you seem to have a good attitude and you're willing to learn so I don't see why it wouldn't be possible.

My advice would be that if you do go down the IM route, don't try to do it using "hacks" but try to add value and build a legit business. You are more likely to succeed that way and build something that will last.

It all boils down to what you're doing or want to do. IM is a big marketplace.
Depends if you're happy doing pure blackhat type stuff, Ralph will tell you how to earn that cloaking no doubt.
4-5 hours is very part time too, but if you do have VAs then there's no problem there.

    Thanks Mate!
Ya, $25/day didn't go bad and I learnt it from here. Made few twists with landing page, that's it. I somehow find PPC, a bit attractive and feel like if I approach it with constructive/decipled method, it is possible to achieve $500/day. Currently doing trails with small investments. If it all goes good and I make a formula that guarantee ROI & profits, I will scale it up!

4-5 hours a day. Another one who's commited

You're too young in the fileld to make a decision like this and IG+PPI is not a stable business model at all.

Ya, you're right! My plan is to, implementing PPC with a solid approach in those 4-5hrs might work, hopefully!

I think it's all about your determination, not time nor resources available. If you truly want to excel, looking at 4-5hrs, make full use by capitalizing on the knowledge in your relevant niches. Thereafter, just render trials, ads testings and more till you found success.

    Peace,
    VXS

Ya, I can't depend on IG. However, not so new to software. I worked as software developer for 2 years. IM, yep newbie but easy to learn! Hard to implement, though!

Hey, that is an advantage you possessed! If you're a software developer, why not start a JV here to look for like-minded individuals. Forge out a unique software that can benefit all of us too. Alternatively, take up freelancing projects to develop softwares for them.

    Peace,

It completely depends on your life goal.

Does it pay at all? If so, do that. Don't put your life on hold chasing IM dreams. It's shit work building something yourself. Sure, it's rewarding, but what you've been doing... what is going to happen five years from now when Instagram isn't even a thing any more?

Think big picture. That $25 a day... each dollar per day increase is less and less likely the further up you go.

Also, if you have zero real-world job experience, get some. Especially in the customer service industry. Skills learned there go a long way towards your future.

That's nice because automati0n can get you a long way.

I wouldn't say it's easy because if you get into things like SEO it can get really complex. You're a programmer so you have a big advantage over most of the competition.

My tip would be that you pick a stable business model like building sites, brands or products and put more time into it and it will make you enough money. If you like IG+PPI stick with it but make sure you ride the wave hard because you never know when the next thing gets patched and it suddenly stops making money, same way goes with PPC.

Whatever you do make sure you put in more time. The guys that make it big in this business are the ones that go all in.

    Valuable advice, thanks!
I will work on PPC! I will try to minimize my IM work time to 1-2 hrs if I find some solid plan.

I think 25$/day is a good start to take part of the earnings and reinvest then in a long-term proyect.
Try some methods, invest in them, and focus in the ones you feel more comfortable with. You will get higher earnings in the long term

Go for the real life goal and focus on IM on the side, I work 10 hours a day, I study during the evenings got pure math, pure chem and pure physics this semester and I still find time for IM. I also do MMA and swim 3-4 times a week to keep myself in good shape, even if you only got an hour to spare, it's 365 hours that you put in each year and it will add up at some point, gl.

It all depends on your goal and ambition as Sherbet Hoover mentioned. Also, it would help to give a clearer advice if you would tell us the offline endeavor... like, is it a professional sport career or something similar? The advice also depends on that.

If I would be more passionate about the offline thing rather than IM... I would follow my passion any given time!

This can't be further from the truth.

An efficient 15 minutes beats a wasteful hour.

I would definitely try to get another source of income besides Instagram, trust me, IG will change a lot in the next months/years. Besides that, you have to know if you have enough dedication and self control to work full-time in IM (it's not easy as it seems, talking for self experience). Another thing, to make $500 per day you probably will have to invest a good amount of money, and you can lose it, you have to think, what you will have to do if that happens. I hope I helped you some way.

Was it on my mind on first day here @BHW!
I dealt with enterprise applications before, don't want to stress mind on code snippets for long hours, it might reduce my productivity on learning goal-skills.
