I made a few changes to my site earlier in the week. Since I use wordpress, I changed the category URL's from domain.com/topics/key-word-1 to domain.com/key-word-1 and so on.

I then purchased a few services here incl. Angela paul backlinks, 125 social bookmarking and few others to target those two new URL's.

I was hoping that the services would push those url's but on the contrary i've slipped. My site now ranks on page 3 and 5 (previous rankings were 2 &3) but instead of the category url's I only see mydomain.com

Did I do something wrong or does it take time to get my url's back on? (the seo services were completed 3 days ago)

I'm also pinging those backlinks with linklicious (scheduling 100 url's per feed and pinging them).

Dude if you changed your URLs, now all the linkbuilding you did to your old URLs will be for the most part worthless as now it will lead to a broken link.

Basically you started fresh with new URLs, and its gonna take a bit of time to rank again.

As above. You basically changed your whole site to new links and will have to start building again.

If you still have a list of the old URL's (did you scrape them before you changed?) you could map 301 redirects between the old and new addresses to save 'some' of the link juice.

Yes, old urls are 301'd. When i check "mysite.com" in google, the new url's appeared now (around 30 minutes ago). How long does it normally take for Google to show the updated results?

Change it back again, or wait for that to index and rank.
