So I just put a pretty large campaign into action and its converting at about 1/3. I am showing 212 clicks but 0 impressions. Im guessing this is going to look bad. I am using a dmr to hide my tracks but still. My am thinks I do email and ppc marketing so if they question me can I just say im direct linking?

Yeah I have basically the same question. I told my AM that I did email marketing.

If you direct link in an email, what does the referrer look like? Can you replicate that rather than doing a DMR?

firstly, lower your traffic immediately,
Then say your using the contextual link and doing ppc-
the ratio from imp to click dnt really matter
what does is the click to lead % rate.
Use someone like Findology to water down a little..

hope this helps!

But wouldnt the 0 impressions raise a question mark?

I tried putting the whole add on the first page of my DMR and it shows a for a quick second but doesnt get registered as an impression.

Impressions would only show if you're allowing them to see the referrer or using banners.

It's common for networks to see clicks without any impressions showing up.

In short, you're safe.

Just make sure that 33% conversion is industry standard for that kind of offer though..

its a simple email submit but its def performing higher than it should, im gona throw some garbage traffic in to help things out

nah- it wouldnt... as said its the click to lead rate that counts- i was once running a legit campaign an the impressions were all over the place whilst using a DMR redirect i didnt get asked anything!!

just make sure you keep your click thru rate from click to lead low!

just throw junk traffic through the same link!

When you say through the same link do you mean the dmr site or the actual affiliate link? Well actually I guess it has the same effect :)

BTW can anyone tell me the name of the firefox plugin that i can use to check what referrer is being sent? I cant find the name

not for sure, but this might be the plug-in your looking for:

Code:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/953

Thanks but thats not it. That one allows you to set the referrer, I just want to see if my DMR is working.

i mean the DMR link for sure!! and if you do send it direct it WONT HAVE THE SAME EFFECT! most cpa companies dnt like junk trafic companies, so if you dont blank out referer they would know an ban you..
think of it logically--- you have 200 no refer clicks thru dmr link
800 refer clicks from junk provider!

it would be a straight ban!

just use the DMR link for ur 'customers' and for junk traffic at all times so ALL trafic is blanked!

also, a script is here somewhere.. search for it that would allow you to check referer passed and it a good one! nothing to do with firefox though!

hope this helps!
