If i am not mistaken anchor texts linked to your backlinks play an extremely important role in seo. This can either make or break you.

I've seen a lot of seo providers in the link building marketplace advertising their services which i believe these services are mostly automated campaigns such as SENUKE campaigns..

My question is. Say for example i have a competitor which is ranking for the non branded keyword "tasty red apples" and his domain is "amazingfruits.com"

If i were to make a massive link building campaign under his website with the anchor txt "tasty red apples" wouldn't he be penalized by google and drop his position in the serps under that keyword?

First, you shouldn't add the domain name over here.
Keep it secret as domain name "xxxx.xxx" and keyword as "example".

In addition, yes build tons of link on high spam score site or porn site etc..
But, I'd suggest you to avoid it and take the same effort to rank your site more :)

It's really bad practice to do negative seo for competitor site..

It's better you build your own site instead of taking down hardwork done by competitor...

I know i wouldn't waste my time or money doing so i was just curious.

I am worried because i purchased a few services in the marketplace and it seems as if they ran massive campaigns to build links with web 2.0, forums, etc...

I checked up on my website using ahrefs and my anchor cloud percentages for my main keywords are ridiculously high. Is this a major ranking factor?? Because my website has stopped rising in the serps since the increase of anchor phrase percentages...

What percentages should i aim to be at?

My competitors seem to be focusing on their named domain, and brand way more than their important keywords. Is this a good strategy to stick to?

Would it be a smarter move to ONLY use the link building services provided in the marketplace to build links with anchors focusing on the naked url & and branded keywords of my website?
