I'm hoping someone has some knowledge on changing domain names and 301's. Exactly 6 months after I switched my domain name all of my rankings have disappeared.

This is an ecommerce store and everything is exactly the same. I did a 301 re-direct, use Webmaster Tools to tell Google about my address change and everything was fine. I didn't have any real losses in my rankings.

I'm fairly certain this notification is involved: Additionally, all Google search results for your site will now be redirected to the new domain automatically for 180 days.

Does this simply mean that I have to start building llinks again to get back to where I was or is this just a dance and it will settle down. Also, I'm wondering if I incurred some sort of penalty as my Webmaster Tools now shows over 200 links from my old domain.

Has anybody else had this experience? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
