Above is what I get when I try to use a free proxy to surf the internet on Google Chrome w/ a proxy.

Got IP banned from an internet forum so I'm tryna use a proxy to get back on it. Why isn't it cooperating though? Is there something I'm missing in regards to using a proxy?

I simply entered the proxy ip & then entered the port but to no avail. Didn't work on firefox either.

I tried a public proxy from hidemyass & also tried a proxy from the BHW proxy list section

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Public proxies don't last long. Most probably it's being used for scraping at that time on a 1gbps connection.

    Instead, head to -
    Code:
    http://www.newipnow.com/
And use any "Free IP", they work better.

Public proxies from lists are almost dead before you start. Most last a few seconds or a few hours. You could try and scrape your own with Scrapebox or ask someone to do it for you. At least you would know they are still alive for a while. Or buy some proxies.
