If you want to learn and talk to people you use the forum. If you want to buy something enquire on the MP thread about it.
Things you can do as a new member : Leave a comment on a thread, start a thread. Leave a comment on mp thread. Click links in your messages from sellers you use (you can't message back till you get 15 posts)
You can also quote and reply and like posts. Also in your profile account (top right this time) you can find all sorts of interesting settings. More so and more options for things open up once you are a paid member.
