Hello world, unranked to 1st page in 10,000 steps

I run 2 sushi restaurants in NYC and am new to the internet aside from checking email and browsing random top 10 websites. It's wild what the internet is all about once you actually look deep in to it.

I have been researching, reading and would appreciate all the help I could get for:

- learn about ranking my website on google for 5 keywords location based to NYC
- being in the 3 pack on google
- being 1st on google maps for my keywords
- learn about facebook ads and google ads
- be able to check my website page position based on my keywords
- figure out if what i'm doing is working and how to track the progress i'm making
-Develop a POS (point of sales, cash register) system which is linked to a live ordering website

I have been making citations, indexing my links and postings articles on a very basic noob level

The way I'm finding my way is just read and read. When your reading a post and it has something you don't understand, stop search that topic then come back to one your reading first.
Also learn the concepts of each post. No will give you the step by step and if they do, it won't work long after it is on here.
You will find the magic, but you have to put in the time and it will come together.

One other tip. I had to change my settings so it is white background. It helps when your reading on your phone or with glare. I spend at least 3 hours a day.
