Long time listener, first time caller here to BHW!

I've been casually perusing forums here for over 10 years. Seriously helped me along in the past to wrap my head around understanding and implementing SEO in my old job. Thank you to all throughout this site!

I was hit by an uninsured drunk driver in a chain reaction auto collision while driving between worksites. My co-worker just gave me word that the higher-ups are considering firing me/laying me off. (I got a lawyer who is helping with the legal end of this accident.)

Since I'm going nowhere fast in this hospital suite, I have decided to do what I do best -- SALES! all from my hospital bed. I've got a product that I am familiar with selling, I found a decent lead broker, and the nurse's 13 year old daughter has helpfully put together a WordPress website with me. (Love this kid, seriously, she is one of the things that brighten my day while I'm stuck here. Future Shark Tank Panelist)

I've got another 3 weeks ahead of me before I can be re-evaluated for discharge and start physical therapy. I also have 2 weeks before rent is due.

I've got a small budget to get a side income/main income going. I also have LITERALLY nothing to do but recover, so I'm game to do almost anything.

If you've got any tips for working from this a hospital room, or the good word on main/side hustles that can be leveraged from my hospital bed, do let me know.

    Thanks, friend!

I'm staying optimistic. I figure, best case scenario -- I can leave the hospital healed, go back to my job (lukewarm about my job, but my coworkers are absolutely wonderful!) and have a tidy side hustle to save for vacation.

Worst case, I hope to take this time to learn and try all I can -- that way if I end up losing my job, I will at least have a head start on a new source of income, or at least learn new transferable skills for a different job.

The nurse's kid is making $14/day on her own with Amazon referrals. "You don't find inspiration, inspiration finds you." -unknown.

Love your positive and constructive attitude :) it may take a little while to get good money flowing but if you are patient and stick with it then you will have a side hustle soon and a full income likely within a year. Best wishes !

Ok here is what I am thinking. When I read that you are doing this journey from a hospital bed all I could think of was social media. If you do not have all the accounts such as instagram/pinterest/facebook/snapchat you need to open them up and document your journey. Maybe do a blog about your side journey hustle from the hospital. Not sure what is the best way to monetize but you shouldn't have any problem building a nice following while in the hospital. Best of luck!

i am new here and found this awesomm forum loaded with tons of information ( thanks to all thread owners for sharing )
well ..... about tips for working from hospital , here is my simple thought . - As we know whatever we do discipline is something that we need for success and positive thing about being inside hospital is that you get more than 15 hour to work without any distraction and because you cant move . you simply get disciplined . So just pick up one work and put all your efforts in it . dont go for 2-3 different thing .... just 1 thing and put all your effor in it

    best of luck buddy :)

Yep Yep. Baby steps! I'm going for the low-hanging fruit (online independent contractor work) before I dig into something more difficult (passive income high ranking site).

Sales are my strong suit. I picked up an Upwork sales gig that pays hefty commissions on each closed sale, and have bought 4 pre-qualified lists and I'm working the list now. Made a goal to net $2000 in commissions by month's end.

What I'd really prefer to do instead is set up a fully-passive-income site, like the one the nurse's daughter has set up for herself.

This is a good idea! I'm inclined to put this recovery up on Instagram just as a response to people posting pics glamorizing drinking and driving. Not sure exactly how, but I'm sure I can make money in that niche.
