I am trying to create a domain with my main keyword but the top 3 extensions are taken. What are some good modifiers I can use at beginning or end of the domain. It is an HVAC company so I was thinking pro. The domain will be similar to something like miamiacrepair or springfieldacrepair Would promiamiacrepair be a good choice? Please tell me any other modifiers you think would suit it.

Dashes in between words are not a bad idea they are the next best thing IMO. But you can use words like "solutions" or "pro" like you mentioned.

My vote would be for dashes. Otherwise it sounds like you've got some good ideas.

Dashes work, but can sometimes look spammy. I've always use MY at the beginning. MyACRepair, etc.

Pro would be good to add at the end - MiamiACRepairPro. Can you use HVAC instead of AC? Some people add hyphens, but more than one hyphen looks bad and the search engines are considering them spam domains. You could also get a .pro domain, no idea what they cost tho.

You can also try changing around the order of the words e.g. ACRepairMiami.com One hyphen might make sense in there e.g. ACRepair-Miami.com

Try to stick with .com if you're going to make the rest of the domain complicated.

    my suggestion:

    1) don't use more than 2 words (long or short) - invest as much time as necessary in the search of a perfect domain, even if it means days or 2 weeks,
    2) stick only with .com or your local extension (except .us) +++> it means => forget .info-s and other bastards,
    3) check out godaddy auctions of expired $5-$10 domains (not auctions - the ones with a buy-it now option).

.. if you still can't find the perfect domain - organise a brainstorm with 1 or 2 IM-s..

The golden rule: never buy a domain if you have had alcohol - learn from the mistakes of others.. just accept this rule as it is.

    Good luck :)

    =====
*/ it is suggestible that a domain doesn't contain more than 8 characters (without a extension)

oh forgot the main one - if you are buying a domain for your company: stick to your company name!!!

Why? ... too many reasons and I'm too lazy to list them all :D

I really don't think somebody will disagree with this one.

Remember: your Brand is much more important than a number how many times the keyword appears in Google (again - too many reasons why)

Have you tried AcRepairMiami.com or AcRepairInMiami.com? How about AirConRepairMiami.com? Try to shuffle or expand your main keywords before introducing new ones.

I would try to keep it short and it needs to be something your clients can remember I would think that is a local keyword you can rank for without spending a ton of cash
