Hello and Happy New Year all,

Just signed up to Black Hat World after coming across the website when looking for ways to make money for myself, I can imagine you've never heard that before .

I'm just approaching my mid-twenties and have still not found my calling as to what I wish to do in my professional life I've had numerous jobs some better then others, but nothing to glamorous or exciting to go into huge detail here.

I am currently enjoying reading the different suggested methods on making money via IM, and whilst I have ZERO experience in the subject I know I must take advantage of my free time and attempt to educate myself as much as possible on the opportunities available.

Being unemployed for the past 2 months I've found myself wasting away the days hoping to strike lucky winning another football accumulator as I had previous success a few months back, but now I have come to the realisation I always deep down knew that I cannot live off gambling.

I am however still in a fortunate position of being still relatively young and having no real responsibilities or bills to pay due to kindness of my Parents.

So I hope to take full advantage of this websites information available and create something positive out of my time.

Thanks for allowing me to register and be a part of this forum.

    Welcome to BHW.

Nice to see someone else from the NW of the UK. I assume since you like a bet you follow a football club? Which one?

    Yep Liverpool fan myself :cheerlead

I was in a similar situation to you, had to stop working and started using gambling for a source of income, which i actually did alright with tbh but it isn't the way to pay the bills.

In a nutshell - i found BHW in 2013 and read through lots of threads, became overwhelmed and stopped visiting the forum for a while. I came back started a couple porn sites, earned a little money but not enough to be 'OK'. Then i moved onto a couple other things that also failed to earn me a solid living.

Towards the end of 2014 i decided to get my act together and learn how to do keyword research and onsite/offsite SEO along with other basic things. Many go the adsense route, i went for the amazon route, product review sites etc.

Fast forward to now and ive got a few tidy websites, all amazon, with a couple personal sites that are long term plans. And im making money more and more while continuing to learn.

Best bits of advice i can give you is:

Lose the get rich quick mentality completely. We all have that mentality to some extent when we start out.

Don't be a jack of all trades and a master of none, if you decide to go with an idea, stick with it until you have conquered it (as long as your confident you can make money from it) Sometimes as you grow and learn you will realize that your onto a loser, like the realization that whatever your trying to rank your site for is simply too competitive.

If you feel overwhelmed don't give up completely, take a break and do something that's not IM related - take your mind totally off making money online.

Your young and you can write pretty well, use this to your advantage.

Im going to stop waffling lol. Good luck with your future online ventures!
