    Hi Guys,

I've a client and I was working on it's site. We had many KWs ranking on 1st,3rd & 5th page still ranking. But since client did 301 permanent redirect to a new site,I see ranking is loosing.

I'm really confuse I've to build links to new site or old site? If I've to build links for new site, then it'll power old site & help to increase ranking?

If it doesn't then,I've to build links for new site & start work from scratch?

    Thanks,
    Imran

    Your question isn't clear.
Are you sure you should be carrying out work for clients?
Who told the client to do the redirect and why has he done it?
When did the client do the 301?
Give it some time to see if it settles down.
I would give it another week but go back and make sure the client carried out the redirect correctly.
    There are many guides online

As 301 is a permanent redirection of website from old to new, Google will remove all the indexed pages and replace it with the new website. In this process, you can loose some % of link juice or page rank. You should wait for some time to be indexed your website and continue your off page activities for a new website. It will take some time to get results.
