Heatmap Theme: How to remove meta tag, blogroll, tags, archive etc?

    Normally you just go in and either remove them in
    appearance > widgets
    or once you have inserted your own, they disappear.

    Not in this instance. Plus, when you go into Widgets all the sides such as widebar, header etc are blank - there aren't any widgets in them. I've tried dragging my own in and refreshing and they are't visible on the page.

    Any ideas please as it's certainly a thinker.

    Nah I used a different theme instead.

    Edit the sidebar.php file from the theme folder, the widgets look like this

    	   <ul>
    		<?php wp_get_archives( 'type=monthly' ); ?>
    	   </ul>
    	</li>
    
    comment those lines or delete them
