Hey guys have a quick question I tried to find the answer on the forum but could not find the answer. I currently have a website in the health niche and the keyword I want to target its untapped but my problem is the keyword is bringing up porn related sites but my site has nothing to do with porn. My question is how does one outrank a porn website when im not targeting that? Any ideas?

It has 110,000 exact searches per month with low competition.

I never found porn in google unless i intentionally search for it,google is extremely good at keeping junk away from the serps.May be they are doing some kind of Cloaking. Also some health keywords may seem to be porn if they are related to sex problems.

Yea thats what I thought aswell but it may not be known as porn related keyword but it is being used for it and if I change googles safe search filter to high it then removes them from the SERPS.

The statement that the keyword is untapped, but that it brings up a lot of PORN is non-congruent. It cannot be both untapped, and bringing up lots of ANY results.

So actually, what you most likely are experiencing is a word that has multiple connotations, one of which is actually VERY closely related to porn. I wish I knew a bit more about your situation, because it also sounds like you partially don't understand how to properly complete your keyword research.

In the end, if what you've said is actually correct - then you should be able to easily outrank the porn sites for a hyper-targetted keyword even with the connotations. What is meant by low competition? 2 million results pages, 5 million, 20 million, 10,000 - it makes all the difference for evaluating the actual value of the keywords you've found and determining an appropriate strategy to swoop in and grab the niche.

Good luck with your project though. Good to see you working on something.

Oh, also - your machine could be infected with adware/spyware which is easily acquired when visiting porn sites. If that's the case, you might be surprised to learn that it isn't even actually google providing your search results. It may be getting filtered or adversely effected by the trojan viruses or other shit on your machine. This is actually a QUITE likely scenario given what you've said in the thread.

Hypothetically, if you've frequented various online unsavory places - which I do ALL the time - you should run some scans with spyware removal tools.

    Good luck again!
