Which WordPress plugin do you prefer to use on your WordPress blogs or think is a better choice, HeadSpace2 or All in One SEO Pack?

I know most people use All in One SEO Pack, but I heard HeadSpace2 has more features, does a lot more work in general, and is updated more often.

I currently have All in One SEO Pack activated on my blog, but I just uploaded HeadSpace2 so I'm about to deactivate All in One SEO Pack and try out HeadSpace2.

    HeadSpace2
    Code:
    http://urbangiraffe.com/plugins/headspace2/
    All in One SEO Pack
    Code:
    http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/all-in-one-seo-pack/
I will post results for those interested and would appreciate any other feedback from anyone who knows a bit about the two.

    Thanks!

Well, apparently there is a problem with the current theme I am using that might cause HeadSpace2 not to function properly in some cases. However, it definitely is a more feature-rich plugin. I could definitely see the webmaster having more control using this plugin.

But for now I have switched back to All in One SEO Pack, but I just might change my theme to one that will work 100% properly with HeadSpace2, because it looks quite impressive and powerful.

I'd still love to get some feedback as well!

    Thanks!

    headspace wins by far...
I've used both and once you get over the learning curve for headspace it is far faster and more effective. It will even import your settings from the old seo plugin if you wanna drop it on a site that uses A-I-O SEO

I might prefer Headspace, if only I could get it to work with my theme/s !

    I use all-in-one-SEO

If you are even a little versed in editing themes its not hard to make badly designed themes work with it generally.
Usually its as easy as adding
    PHP:
    <?php wp_footer(); ?>
to the bottom of the footer.php

@sonneti: Thanks, I will check it out.

@megaw: You are absolutely right. Last night I figured out just how badass HeadSpace2 actually was. But like you said, you gotta get past that learning curve first, which I am still in the process of doing, hehe. I also read about how it will import your settings from All in One SEO Pack; that's tight. Thanks for the reply man.

@traffictart: I was having the same problem last night. I couldn't get it to work with my current theme and I really didn't want to change themes. After a lot of searching and reading I was able to edit my theme's header.php and footer.php files and resolve the issue.

Here is an excerpt from the HeadSpace2 website that might help you out...

I've also heard it is best to make sure the "wp_title" function has two quotes to make sure you have absolute control over your title and don't have an annoying separator in there. Example...

    PHP:
    wp_title('');
Just a little tip for you and anyone else interested. I added the quotes; no harm, no foul.

Do you have any basic knowledge of PHP or programming in general? I'm not talking about HTML, by the way.

I posted the link to the HeadSpace2 homepage in my OP. Lots of information and support there.

Hope that helps or at least puts you on the right track! Good luck! :)

Funny, I'm having the same problem with one of my sites, only in reverse. My Titles are working fine on all my pages except for my index page and it's driving me crazy. Can't seem to figure it out

I do prefer All in One SEO, or SEO Platinum. Either is fine as far as I'm concerned.

I'm also experiencing the more tag not working on my index page. Post back if you find out how to get it working, and I'll do the same.

Just a quick update...I cautiously upgraded to WordPress 2.8, and now the more tag seems to work fine. However, please note, I'm not so sure WordPress 2.7.1 was the problem, it could have just been me.

Remember, after submitting/changing something in your WP Admin Panel, always view your blog/update outside of your WP Admin Panel, not from within. It has always worked better for me that way. Credit goes out to fulleclipse of this forum for giving me this tip.

If anyone else is still having trouble with the more tag, PM me and I will try my best to help you out.

I think what he meant was HeadSpace is a great SEO plugin for blogs that are not automated. Whether they be totally legit blogs or include some BH properties, I'm pretty sure what he's saying is as long as they aren't autoblogs then HeadSpace is a better choice. Otherwise, I think he is suggesting Platinum SEO Pack for WordPress (if it's an automated blog).

However, I might be wrong, so he might want to clear things up a bit if I was off in my explanation in any way.

By the way, I have included a link below to the Platinum SEO Pack for anyone who is interested.

    Code:

I just noticed someone had posted a link to the Platinum SEO Pack above; my mistake. Either way, I'm going to leave it in my previous post. :)
