This is my first time building up a PBN and I'm having a very hard time finding links in my niche that have anything close to good metrics, that haven't been spammed.

I thought I found a great link to day, the backlinks to it are fine.. no hint of spam.. but the wayback showed that it was all in Japanese spamming Tutoring for a few years of its life.

Does this make it a no go?

There's a section on this forum called the Marketplace you can pick up some good domains there for a good price.

Scraping for domains can be very time consuming without automated tools.

I will give the marketplace a try!

Related question, if a website was at one time purchased by somebody and used as a 301, or possible PBN.. is it forever trash? Can you resuscitate?

    1. Buy from sellers, dont waste your time fighting for the scrapes thousands of others are scraping.

    2. Don't worry about niche relevance, it's nice to have but won't make your PBN useless.

I wouldn't take the chance honestly. Maybe point those to some web 2.0s but I wouldn't build them towards my money site.

Those domains with Japanese Korean history have already been murdered, don't try to resuscitate it, won't help.

Around 30 to 50 percent of domains with at least 10RD that I find have japanese anchors or japanese history, so no. These are a no go and you should avoid them. If they are indexed, then use them at your own risk, but if they aren't, avoid them like a plague. There is a really high chance that they are penalized.

I have some experience with this:

Though 99% people will avoid Japanese anchors an old domain may got years b4, I found that some such domains "can" be reuse, but like anothers said, its too risky, maybe not worth to burn your money site at all, I said this because I have a weird experience with those "spammed" domain, they can still rank sth lol due to customers ( we wrongly bought the expired domain, you guessed it)

Even as above, I highly suggest avoid such domains.
