I've been writing lots of content this morning for web 2.0 blogs only to find that they are nofollow.

livejournal, myopera, xanga, all no follow. I feel like i've wasted a lot of time.

I'm using targethut.com to find the web 2.0s but I don't believe it tells us if they are nofollow.

Does anyone have a list of good web 2.0s which don't have the nofollow?

I want to create 12 properties manually today and this is slowing me down big time faffing about trying to find out what web 2.0s have nofollow.

Do follow or no follow don't mean nothing now days so don't get caught up on it
Do follow and know follow links only make up for a small percentage of overall SEO

Whats better a Do Follow link from a pr5 blog Or a Nofollow link from Matt cutts blog?

These are just web properties i'm creating though, so for the purpose of increasing my main site's rank, I think it is bets if they don't have a rel=nofollow tag on their outbound links.

I dictated 3 600 word pages for 3 web 2.0s before I realized they were nofollow so it is too late now anyway
    :)

I'll still use them but i'm trying to find a few more good web 2.0s to complete the rest of the properties.

    Are you using Firefox Gorang?
Because like I say SEOQuake will highlight no follow links, and there's TONS of other plugins that do the same thing. Looking through source code or asking questions on here isn't a good use of your time when you could just take a look at someones profile and know instantly.

    o_inspiration,
How to make SEOQuake to highlight? I have been using it for a while but don't see this feature on.

Also what Firefox Gorang is good for?

LOL. Gorang is OP name, there's no "Firefox Gorang"...

as for SEOQuake, i've never used it for awhile so idk but you can use SEO for firefox from seobook.com (just google "SEO for firefox"). You can easily turn on/turn off highlighting for every nofollow link.

I've got SEOQuake on right now, it always displays N/F's highlighted as pinks, so I'm not sure why yours wouldn't...

@Gorang If you're using software that identifies N/F's, how come you made this thread? If your software was working, you wouldn't need to ask, you'd know :D

I would like to know if anyone has a good up to date list as well. I've created a lot of web 2.0's manually only to find out there nofollow. Also, targethut is kind of out of date in my opinion.

The point is you have to sign up to these web 2.0's and publish an article before you know there nofollow.

No you don't you take a look at someone elses account before you sign up, just common sense. (Very worrying if this hasn't occured to people...)

Nofollow can be set on a link level, with a metatag and in robots.txt
Make sure whatever tool yall using is taking care of all three possibilities or you might just be posting content and backlinking it for nothing (or rather to the respective webmaster's joy).

That's a really good point. What do you use to check no follow?
